South Sumatra Police Investigates Drug Distribution at DA Club 41 Discotheque

SwaraBangsaOnline, Palembang— Deputy Director of the South Sumatra Regional Police’s Drug Criminal Investigation Directorate AKBP Harissandi, SIK said that his party would summon the manager of the Darma Agung (DA) Club 41 discotheque.

This was carried out by the South Sumatra Regional Police for the purpose of investigating and deepening the investigation regarding the discovery of dozens of ecstasy pills in a trash can at the Darma Agung (DA) Club 41 discotheque.

“We will immediately send a letter to the Palembang City Government. We ask the Palembang City Government to immediately take firm action against misuse of business premises by the Darma Agung Club 41 Discotheque,” said Harissandi to the media when making a release, Wednesday 29 May 2024.

In the near future, the South Sumatra Regional Police Headquarters (Mapolda) will summon the management of the Darma Agung Club 41 discotheque.

“We will summon the management of DA Club 41 regarding the discovery of unclaimed ecstasy pills in two raids a few days ago,” he explained.

“We will listen to the explanation,” he said.

Responding to this case, Assistant II for general administration for the Palembang City Government, Alex, admitted to the media that his party had directly carried out a review and checked the licensing of the Darma Agung Club 41 discotheque night entertainment venue.

“We are following up on the results of the raid carried out by the South Sumatra Regional Police. The technical team is still checking the Darma Agung Club 41 discotheque permit,” said Alex to the media, May 29 2024.

The results of the South Sumatra Regional Police’s findings in two raids at the Darma Agung Club 41 discotheque will be used as material for Alex’s consideration.

“We’ll see what the technical team’s results will be,” said Alex.

“We have sent a letter to the Palembang City Government to revoke the license for the Darma Agung club 41 discotheque night entertainment venue. In two raids, drugs were always found, this must be dealt with firmly and at the same time be an example for others,” said the Director of the South Sumatra Police’s Narcotics Research Directorate, Kombes Pol Dolifar Manurung.
